Please read the following detailed information before signing your child up for any events. When you register you are accepting these terms and conditions, and by doing so you agree that you and your child will act in accordance to these rules and guidelines.

Please read the following detailed information before signing your child up.
When you register to ANY event, you will be accepting these terms and conditions, and by doing so you agree that you and your child will follow these rules.
1. Punctuality – We get it, things happen, BUT we strive to always be on time to start sessions and end in a timely fashion. Please make sure you or a legal guardian is there to pick up your child.
2. Conduct – Be respectful to the everyone during all the events, materials used, the space we play and especially the people we play with. If in doubt, always use kind words.
3. Missed sessions (?) Depending on the session you have registered your child, we may offer make up session or other.
4. COVID-19 Safety Information – While participating in any event held or sponsored by Kingwood Chess Club, consistent with CDC guidelines, all participants are encouraged to practice hand hygiene, social distancing and must wear face coverings to reduce the risk of exposure to COVID-19. Kingwood Chess Club can not guarantee that its participants, or others in attendance will not become infected with COVID-19. Please self monitor prior to attending.
5. Media Release Statement – By registering to our events, The Kingwood
Chess Club may take and/or publish pictures or other media on which your child
appears. Publication may include the Kingwood Chess Club website, social media,
newspapers or related journals.
The use of this media will be used to promote chess. You (parent or legal guardian) reserves the right to request not to have your child’s picture taken. The image of your child may be
blurred for privacy if you do not consent. An email request must be received prior to any sessions starting. You may email this request at: kingwoodchessclub@gmail.com
COVID-19 PANDEMIC DISCLAIMER
While Kingwood Chess Club complies with the State Health Department and the Center for Disease Control and Prevention infection control guidelines to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 virus, we cannot make any guarantees. We are symptom-free and regularly self monitor. However, since we are a place of public accommodation, other persons (including other players) could be infected, with or without their knowledge. I understand the COVID-19 virus has a long incubation period during which carriers of the virus may not show symptoms and still be highly contagious. It is impossible to determine who has it and who does not, given the current limits in virus testing.
